除了來自世界各地的諸多監管機構對微軟收購動視暴雪提出了質疑之外谷歌也表達了自己的不滿。
據Politico報道,谷歌近期透露對此次收購有一些擔憂。報道稱,雖然谷歌的擔憂與索尼的擔憂不同,但本質上非常相似。谷歌擔心如果微軟成功收購動視暴雪,要論點圍繞着在谷歌ChromeOS系統上通過XGP/PGP玩遊戲的方法,谷歌稱微軟故意降低了其性能。
此前,谷歌決定放棄其雲遊戲平臺 Stadia,目前正對進入遊戲市場做出最大嘗試。

As it turns out, Google also has some concerns about the acquisition. While the report says that Google’s concerns are not to the same extent as Sony’s, they are quite similar in nature: Google fears games on its ChromeOS platform will suffer if Microsoft successfully acquires Activision Blizard. Google’s main argument is that the idea of playing games via Game Pass on a system running Google’s ChromeOS was intentionally degraded by Microsoft. Giving credit to Microsoft, it should be noted that the company seems to be working on improving the Game Pass experience through its xCloud streaming service not only on ChromeOS, but also on Linux platforms, despite the fact that both operating systems are serious competitors to Windows.
